What a fun and interesting addition to the “Good girls guide to murder” series。 Holly Jackson never disappoints me and is honestly one of the writers I trust the most。 4 stars because the only thing I didn’t like was the hints that there was an extra person out there。 I don’t know it felt a bit too much and didn’t quite fit the setting

Is it just me or does this book have a completely different setting？？？ They live in England， in a town called Little Kilton instead of Fairview， in the States。 I was sooo confused 😅 Other than that， I liked how this fun mystery game was the start to Pips detective streak。

I loved this book！ This is a prequel novella to a good girls guide to murder！ I love the insight you get into why Pip chose to do her school project on the murder of Andy and Sal！ Such a fun fast read！！

this is a world book day book so obviously it’s quite short。 when i opened the book i wasn’t so sure it would be very good like the others- it’s a murder mystery game that pip and the others play before the first book happened （took me a bit longer than it should to realise that LOL）。 i think it was a bit more rushed and most of the things written was info about the case， but that’s only to be expected with a shorter world book day book。 i am glad it was written and i got a pleasant surprise whe this is a world book day book so obviously it’s quite short。 when i opened the book i wasn’t so sure it would be very good like the others- it’s a murder mystery game that pip and the others play before the first book happened （took me a bit longer than it should to realise that LOL）。 i think it was a bit more rushed and most of the things written was info about the case， but that’s only to be expected with a shorter world book day book。 i am glad it was written and i got a pleasant surprise when i saw it in the library 。。。more

I loved this book。 I wish it had been longer。 It was the epitome of a good murder mystery。 It had interesting characters， a great story and kept me guessing until the end。 I’m keen to read more by Holly Jackson now！

A really nice prequel， good to see the friend dynamic before book 2， since the friend's seemed to be coming out of nowhere in book 1。 I also liked to see book 1 Pippa reading this after book 3。。。 I thought Pippas solution was incredible， but of course murder mystery games are also supposed to be playable by kids， haha。 I would have given it 5 stars， but I really missed Ravi 😕， so 4。5 stars A really nice prequel， good to see the friend dynamic before book 2， since the friend's seemed to be coming out of nowhere in book 1。 I also liked to see book 1 Pippa reading this after book 3。。。 I thought Pippas solution was incredible， but of course murder mystery games are also supposed to be playable by kids， haha。 I would have given it 5 stars， but I really missed Ravi 😕， so 4。5 stars 。。。more

Was a sweet and short book。 I wanted to read it since it’s the last book of Holly Jackson’s to date that I haven’t read。 I would say it’s optional to read with the trilogy。 I didn’t really remember all of the clues leading up until the end of their murder mystery game， but their conclusions at the end were interesting。 It ultimately just kind of shows how Pip ended up getting into a murder mystery for her school project。

A big reason I may have not liked this is because I read this while my head was somewhere else。 I felt like the game went on too long and I only was able to come to a conclusion right before Pip did。 I did however like the ending， where the beginning to the other book was explained。
